Affiliate disclosure
How paid links work on The Mia Menu, and why they don’t change our opinion.
The Mia Menu is free to read. To keep the website going in the long run, some articles may contain paid links (affiliate links). Here’s what that means.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a link to an online shop where we may receive a small commission if you buy something through it. Nothing changes for you: the price is the same as when you go to the shop yourself.
How can you recognise them?
If an article contains a paid link, you’ll see a clear notice above the first section with such links. Paid partnerships with brands are always labelled. Most shops we may link to are Dutch; on the English pages we only add shop links when they are useful to international readers.
Does it change our opinion?
No. We only recommend something when it fits the article, and we also mention the downsides and who it’s not suitable for. A commission doesn’t buy a positive review or a “Mia Approved” label. That label is only for things Mia has actually used. You can read more in our approach.
Cookies from online shops
The Mia Menu itself doesn’t set tracking cookies. If you click an affiliate link, the shop or affiliate network may set cookies on its own website to credit the purchase to us. Their privacy policy applies to that.
